1.) Listen to each other
Everyone has an idea of what their wedding should be like. Listen to what each of you have to say. Negotiate and compensate and sometimes just let the other person have what they want. In the end it's all about the fact that you will be spending the rest of your lives together.
2.) Put Faith in your Vendors
We get it, trusting people to come through is hard sometimes! However it is important to remember that when it comes to your vendors, you have to trust them, it's their job! Have a little faith and put your faith into the hands of your helpers! It'll relieve a lot of stress!
3.) Do NOT feel guilty!
If mom wants your colours to be blue and black but yours and your fiancés dream is white and gold! Please, please don't feel guilty for going with what you want! This goes for not choosing your brothers unreliable baker girlfriend to make your wedding cake, your mother in-law's demand for an ivory dress and not wanting your little sisters 3 week boyfriend coming to the wedding! (After the guest book as already been finalized!!)
4.) Get the hard parts out of the way!
Struggling to write your vows? Having a hard time creating that guest list? Can't bring yourself to pick a dress? Drop some other stuff and tackle these tasks first! Crack down, make a schedule and plan it! The sooner your get these things out of the way, the sooner you can get to the fun parts like cake tasting, picking flowers and your Bachelor/Bachelorette party!
5.) ENJOY IT
As we know planning a wedding is hard but try to make it fun! You love each other, you can't wait to spend the rest of your lives together, you are pumped for the reception! Take it all in, enjoy yourselves and have a good time!
